Hi We have just come back from 12 days in Bali 1st five nights at Bali Mandira, then 2 nights at Safari Park and 5 nights at Patra. There was my husband, myself and our 4 year old son. We travelled to Bali for my husbands 50th my 40th and our 12th wedding anniversary. My mother also come as a surprise for us. We were extremely disappointed with the Patra as a whole. For a 5 star resort the level of standard in the rooms was very average as was the cleanliness and standard of food. We had requested a bed for our son - it was not ready when we arrived and was delivered much to the hotels dissatisfaction. My mothers room was over run with ants. On the first night we were late arriving from the Safari Park and an afternoon in Ubud and son fell asleep so we ordered room service. The food was not fit for human consumption (all has bee microwaved and the lasagne was that baked on thep late that we could not cut with a knife or even scrape off the plate. And the breakfasts each day were average (much better at Bali Mandira) Our duvet cover has holes in it, the runner on the bed was that worn you could not see the pattern. Curtains were stained and dirty. Staff were not helpful would not confirm flights back and business centre was not available as they had no vouchers left. I do not normally complain about hotels and have travelled to Bali numerous times and stayed a various places. We will never stay at Patra again and would not recommend to anyone. I wrote a letter to the general manager regarding the above and more problems while we were there and did not get a response during our stay. Overall a very disappointing experience for a 5 star resort.
