Had a wonderful holiday 7 days of bliss!
Group of 7. ages 58 - 7
Flew Virgin Pacific Blue from Perth. Flights were $460.00 Return (inc taxes) Good flight all on time. No movie or food and drinks but we got cheap flights so we didnt care.
ACCOMODATION- We stayed at Febris Hotel and Spa. Great little hotel very clean, Fresh linen and towels daily also small bottles of water left each day. Staff lovely and friendly very helpful. Breakfast was better than what i expected. Eggs made how ever you want them, hashbrowns, noodles, rice, bakedbeans, sausages, fruit, soup, cereal, toast, pancakes, vegetables, nescafe machine, juices. No Bacon(but you can order it and pay extra) We paid $460 twin share also this included daily breakfast. Rooms have TV, A/C, Bath, Fridge, hairdryer, in room safe, balcony, wardrobe, dressing table and small lounge. Very comfortable.
FEBRIS SPA- We enjoyed the complimentary foot treatment when we arrived also treated our self to a spa treatment for 300,000 plus 30 000 tax total $44 for 3 hours. Beautiful little private spa villas with outdoor shower and bath. Our spa included full body massage, facial, body scub followed by frangapani milk all over body, foot bath, shower then into bath with flowers finished off with stem room and jacuzzi. AH heaven!!! Must book though as they get busy...
PLACES WE ATE- Favourite this year would have to be Bali Bagia beautiful food great prices. Picked us up from hotel. Best Meigoreng in bali (my Opinion!) Kids had hamburgers and chips. Yummy Sates. Staff very funny and welcoming.
SENSES (at Dynasty)
130 000 for full buffett. restaurant lovely clean beautiful napkins etc.. Food was nice but thought for 130 000 there would be more.
For the price and what is available in Bali wouldnt go back here.
SENDOK
Always a favourite with us we ate at both Sendoks. Munu has everything. great prices. Sendok near Ramayana much better than Sendok in Legian. Legian was quite slow and staff not as nice as the other one!! Food great at both.
CENTRO FOOD HALL
Bit of all sorts here. No ambiance really but food we had everyone was happy. Kids then went to the timezone where we could sit and have a drink and still see the kids. Girlfriend had a steak here and loved it.
LION RESTAURANT(Safari Park)
Great setting, nice clean well done restaurant prices bit expensive on Bali standards. Nice cold drinks, milkshakes yummy but was disappointed with the food it all seemed quite dry. Didnt enjot mei goreng much. Son had burger and chips he said it was ok. Nephew had spag bog he said it was yummy. Friend had pizza very dry, bread very dry, overall bit dissappointing food for such a lovely restaurant.
INDIAN RESTAURANT ( Next to Dynasty)
Personally didnt eat there but friends did- they said restaurant was beautiful, meals were great and prices were good. Best Iced Tea in Bali!!
FLAPJACKS- Awsome for desserts. Icecream to die for, addictive pancakes and waffles! Great coffee. Just next door to Ramayana Hotel
THINGS WE DID
SAFARI PARK - 2nd time to Safari park few new things from last year. Great day had by all. Dont forget bathers to cool off after seeing all the animals and bird show, elephant show. Great little water park thing set out for the kids but great just to cool off. Had to pay 25 000 for some of the new rides there.
WATERBOM PARK - Kids had a great day. We got 20% off at one of the tourist booths on the street so that was a nice bonus. Hired a Cabana which i think have gone up since last year. 200 000 for day with 75 000 deposit. Almost $30. Proberbly wont get one next year as there aare lots of lounges in the shade around the park. Boomerang slide is awsome... A must do!!!!!
WATER SPORTS NUSA DUA- Fantastic day, our friend driver organised prices etc.. for us we got to choose 3 things for 300 000 each person. We did parasailing, Banana Boat and Jet ski and then paid and extra ? for fly fish. Staff were great and kids and adults had a ball.
SHOPPING- Shopped everywhere from Centro, Gallaria, Mataharis, Markets, Billabong wharehouse. Got lots of great bargains, proberbly got ripped off too but hey its cheaper than home. Heaps of DVDs and all the bali bags clothes etc... Revelon- seemed to get better prices at Centro. Shopped alot at Dianes fixed price shop. So easy when you cant be bothered batering! Located opposite Green Garden Kuta.
TAILOR- Went and tried YOGI just up from Bali Bagia. Fantastic service. Price and quality. Highly recommend him. Address no 34 JL Bakungsari.
Our driver is just great Ketut- email is ketutsudirta@hotmail.com new airconditioned car. Speaks good english. Will pick up from hotel and take you anywhere. ( He organised us good prices for water sports)
Great holiday had by our group of 7. Back to work today to save for next year!!!
