These services are operated by Pacific Blue, using Brisbane based Virgin Blue Cabin Crew.

The planes that VB/PB are using are 737 800 type aircraft.
These are the aircraft they are using on these DPS sectors -

VH VOQ Peta Pan
VH VUM Brindabella Blue
VH VUN Madelaide

The standard seating configuration in this aircraft is 180 seats with 3 x 3 seating.
Premium economy seating has 2 x 2 seating

These are the same aircraft that VB/PB have been using for the last few years in Australia.
So if you have flown with VB/PB domestically in the last years, chances are that you have been on one of these.

The 1st 3 rows of the plane are premium economy seating / fare class. This is being offered on the these flights so standard seating will be reduced to 162 regular seats and 12 premium economy seats ( which offer increased baggage allowance, fully flexible fares and unlimited food and drinks, incl alcohol.
If these premium seats are not being used, you cannot sit in the first three rows, unless you are holding a boarding pass for those seats

Exit rows are located in rows 14 and 15, and are called Blue Zone seats, these can be purchased for an additional charge per flight.

In rows 13 & 14 the seats DO NOT recline as they are directly in front of an exit row. This is a Aust Civil Aviation requirement on commercial passenger aircraft.

As these aircraft are Virgin crew and virgin aircraft using the Pacific Blue name the entertainment system is NOT digi players. it will be the Live2Air entertainment system which offers 3 movie channels and 25 LIVE foxtel channels.

Headsets are distributed once everybody is onboard. Feel free to bring your own if you like as they are the same size jack as your mp3/ipod etc

The information on whats playing movies, etc, can be found here
http://vlicious.realviewtechnologies.com/
This also shows you what food and beverages they will be offering to purchase.

Inflight entertainment can ONLY be purchased using a credit card

Live FOXTEL will cost $9.90 when departing Australia, all the way to Bali
Also Each movie you choose to watch will also cost $9.90 each a movie.

When departing Bali and returning to Australia, the tv component LIVE2AIR will be complimentary. I believe this is due to the satellite signal being weak that until the aircraft hits Australian signals, the live foxtel service is not guaranteed to pick it up.

Basically between the Australia coastline and bali , that 60-80 mins or so will NOT have the foxtel live tv service.

Food and beverage purchases can be made via AUSTRALIAN cash only or credit card ( It does pay to have AUD cash just incase the c/c machines dont work)

There are occasions where food / bev items may run out during the service , which has happened on many airlines I have flown, so thats something to think about before boarding

Alcohol is available to be purchased on board, and selections can be found in the menu - http://vlicious.realviewtechnologies.com

Duty Free alcohol is NOT PERMITTED to be consumed onboard, and it will be confiscated by the cabin crew if passengers are found to be drinking their DF allowance.

There are NO pillows / blankets offered onboard, so if you tend to feel the chill in the cabin , it may be an idea to bring a sarong or light jacket to feel comfortable

Further information on this aircraft type can be found on the Virgin Blue website

Also Re water discussions - the LAGS ( liquid, aerosols and gels)rule has different standards for each country, based on government regulations

When leaving Australia, once you are past immigration you can buy any liquid and take it onboard, as most of the food and beverage outlets are after you are security screened

. When leaving DPS they will take ALL drinks off you before entering the gate lounge as that is the last place your person and baggage is screened.

Virgin/Pacific Blue DOES NOT provide complimentary water.

If a passenger is after water they will be requested to purchase a bottle for $2,50.

Some aircraft have a water spigot where you can refill in the rear galley, although vb/pb service standard is to request the passenger to purchase a bottle.

The water source for the spigot in the galley, is potable water, the same water source is used for handwashing & toilet flushing for the restrooms.

It is perfectly drinkable,

I hope this is helpful
