The short story is the same thing could have happened to us. We booked on the friday,paid by direct debit on the sunday and the money was due by the tuesday. We paid from our CBA account to their CBA account and it was an instant transfer. The Monday night money still wasnt showing on their end and our booking was still on hold. I rang and spoke to them for 1hr and wouldnt get off the ph till I had spoken to the supervisor. My booking was confirmed tuesday morning.

What they did say was that the day you book the fare is the day you HAVE to transfer the money and I see you didnt do this (like me but mine wasnt to a different bank) the money is held in la la land for 24hrs and then when it hits Jetstars account the finance people have to match it to your booking and if they dont get the money in time then the booking just goes into thin air!

The girl said to me oh its ok if your booking cancels you get your money back..ummm NOOOOO I dont want my money back I want my flight! From now on I will be using CC for transactions and transferring the money myself. The DD system whilst good has too many flaws and too much is out of your control. Good luck sorting it out.
