How frustrating for you.
We had an issue 2 years ago with jetstar. We tried to find a governing body/ombudman of airlines that we could lodge a complain with but came up with nothing. Contacted consumer affairs but again a dead end. Apparantly they appear to make their own rules up when it comes to fares/refunds/taxes etc. etc..
There is no customer service phone number (well 2 years ago there wasn't) They don't even have a street address, you need to write to a PO Box and wait 3 months for a reply.
I understand your frustration.
