Hi,
You will probably be very lucky if you are able to choose which rooms you would like to book.
It is almost a case now of having to take what is offered.
This hotel books out a long time in advance.
We stayed in Sept/Oct 2008.
Whilst there I booked for July 2009, it was full already, they could only give me 9 nights so we are spending time in Sanur also.
Mind you this is during WA school holiday time period!
* Rooms: We have stayed in NS & A blocks (old rooms) in 2007 & 2008.
Last year I was a little disappointed with the condition of the room in A block.
The bathroom was mouldy, very mouldy!
The lampshade was falling apart and dirty, normally it would not be a problem but at KP this is your main form of lighting, no light fitting in the ceilings.
The bed was rock hard! House keeping did put the quilt cover as a matress underlay which helped but I did wonder afterwards if those quilts are washed very often??
They are usually just folded and put away until next guest arrives.
These old block rooms are well and tuely due for a repaint and freshen up!
This year we are in the new block but not near the pool, out the front above the spa. I havnt looked in the new rooms as yet.
We prefer to use the old pool, it is huge and lovely.
The new pool just didnt appeal to us.
Breakfast is ok, nothing to rave about but the outlook over the ocean makes up for it tenfold.
Food drink and minibar are well priced at KP.
So for all my negatives(I am being as honest as possible) we love the Kp.
It seems to get a nice mix of guests, never had a problem with noise or nasties.
It wouldnt phase me if I was given a room in the old or new block.
Just happy to get any room really.
