Hi Aussie Chick
I just got back from 3 weeks at the Patra staying in a deluxe suite. The suites are massive & really nice. The suite we stayed in had a lounge area, massive bathroom (bigger than most hotel bathrooms) with separate shower & toilet, little courtyard area off the toilet & also 2 balcony's (one off the bedroom & other off the lounge). Our suite had no door to separate the lounge & bedroom but that was fine as we could lie in bed & watch TV. The grounds & 3 pools are beautiful, staff so friendly & helpful, nothing was a problem. The first night we were put in a room right down the back of the grounds (about a 3 minute walk to the pool) so we requested to be moved. This was no problem, they moved us on the second day right close to the lobby & 2 of the pools. My advice is to request rooms in the 200 or 300 area. 400 rooms are just too far away from everything, most guests had to call for the golf buggies to get to the lobby, etc. On our last night thanks to Virgin delays we stayed in the Club Suite, this room was absolutely beautiful. Had timber floors, separate lounge & bedroom (a door between the 2), 2 tv's, small dining table & also had separate bath & shower. Only negative thing about the resort was the distance from shops & restaurants, but we got used to it after a few days. With the new beach wall it's only about a 20 minute stroll to the Kuta Art Markets & TAXI's cost about 30-40,000 RUPS from Legian. I'm guessing with the new Holiday Inn opening a few restaurants will pop up down that way, there already is a nice little cheap restaurant just up from the Holiday Inn.
Hope this helps. If you want photos or anymore info let me know.
