Last week I checked prices at Bali Mal Galleria apotik and also the apotik at Carrefour. I didn't look at any apotiks on the street. Prices seemed to work out about the same if not more as the every day price here on the current exchange rate and certainly not any cheaper with the ones I looked at! They had Optium and Accu-Chek and also some other brands plus the matching strips, needles and the actual stick you put the needle in (not sure of price on these). However, I know you can buy the latest Accu-Chek here for $39 at Terry White Chemists in Qld which was a great price and that included a box of strips, the stick and needles). I am not sure if you aware but with blood sugar kits, you need to make sure everything matches (ie same brand), otherwise it won't work properly so you will need to make sure the one you buy for your friend that he or she will be able to get the matching accessories. Hope this helps.
