Turn left from Novotel to those restaurants you named, you will be spoilt for good restaurants outside Novotel,no need to walk that far, in order: Mini Restaurant, La Mer, Pavillion, Sea Queen, Casablanca, Casa Mia, all good eateries, our favourite Casabalanca, just up from there, can't remember the name,it's Italian, has sails like Syd.Opera house, ate there once never again, poor service and cold food. If you see a roast advertised at the Peninsular on a Thursday give that a miss too. Used to be great but not any more. Good lady Lily with shop next to Sea Queen, won't rip you off and gives good exchange rate, don't get sucked in by money changer next door down alley with higher rate. Like fresh fish ? Tanjung Benoa traditional market, great atmosphere, no tourists,15 minute walk from Novotel staight down the road turn left at the no entry sign, get yourself a couple of Tuna straight off the boat for 12,000rp you can get them cooked at Coco's in Novotel. There's a catch though, need to be there early, like around 6am. Nice walk back along the beach. Enjoy.
