If you do, then get an international drivers licence here in Australia to take with you. If you don't, you'd have to get it in bali, but that's where complications can set in. i.e. you wouldn't be covered by insurance as they've stated in previous posts, and if you get pulled over you'll cop a fine, even if you've done nothing wrong.
There's no way i'd ride in bali if I didn't ride bikes over here in Oz. But plenty of people do, and get away with it. Up to you I guess.
