If we assume that it is from the Kuta Legian area, you really are going to be better to negotiate a price with a transport guy.
It's going to be around 4 hrs all up if you want to have a decent look about, and that's a long time to tie a taxi up, and may not be the most economical.
If you use two different taxis, the guy taking you will be concerned about getting a return fare, and the one you try to get back will have something of a strong bargaining position, and may try to slug you.
