My wife and I were married in Aus in December and had a Commitment ceremony in Bali on our honeymoon in January.
A good tip we heard from a few others was to have a registry wedding in Aus or whichever country your from, then go for the big ceremony and party in Bali.
Some of these people indicated that they had problems in obtaining the required legal documents in Bali, and also that it proved difficult and expensive to get documents translated and legally recognised once they got back home.
