Last month, I completed a one month motorcycling trip around Bali.

I hired a Honda 110cc tepthrough Rp 20,000 per day as the bike was a 2005 model with a semi-automatic gearbox. An automatic scooter would have cost me Rp 25,000 per day. I hired the bike from a fellow operating from the footpath near the Bombing Monument in Jalan Legian, Kuta.

Petrol is Rp 4,500 per litre from service stations. It costs Rp 5,000 per litre from a bottle from a stall on the side of the road.

I saw helmets for sale for Rp 195,000 at the Atoben Shop in Denpasar which also sells a very limited amount of motocross gear to the locals.
