are also being shot. Any dog that does not have a tag on its collar to show that it has had its rabies vaccine can be shot. About 10 days ago a domestic dog was shot in my road, she had a collar on but no rabies tag. She had puppies one week old which me and a neighbour have taken in and are bottle feeding as the owner wasnt interested.
The cull is sad but I understand it has to be done in light of the rabies outbreak. However there is no reason for domestic dogs to be shot as the rabbies vaccine is available free of charge. I blame the owners that can not be bothered to get their dogs vaccinated.
