Arrived on the Jetstar flight from Perth (departed 11.05am) on time and arrived on time. Plane was full, only 3 spare seats. Staff and service were very good. We managed to get seats 5A and 5B, our friends who booked at the same time were right down the back in row 28.
VOA was reasonably quick - other flights that landed within 5 mins of us were the Garuda flight from Melbourne (pretty full) and an international fight from KL. Whole process took us 30minutes but our friends who were further to the back of the plane got mixed in with the Garuda flight and took them approx 1hour to come thu.
Accomodation - 3 couples are staying at the Kuta Townhouses for the next 2 weeks, accomodation is excellent, staff friendly, food good and according to the staff is approx 75% full. Our other friends are staying at CICADA villas in Seminyak (just near the Living Room)
Money - Arrived on Friday and rate was 7675, yesterday ((Monday) was 7630.
Weather - Absolutely beautiful, we had a very short shower at 7 o'clock on Saturday night and a couple of sprinkles yesterday morning. Days have been overcast and humid.
Drinks situation - Plenty of Bintang around (not that I drink it) a 6 pack of Corona is 124,900rp. Plenty of spirits in Carrefour - Jack Daniels was 449,000rp, Absolute Vodka was 323,000rp, white wine from Australia was around 350,000 for a bottle of Rosemount white.
We have hired bikes from Made (outside the Kuta Townhouses) 30,000 per day.
Streets are fairly quiet during the day, but last night whilst we were at the SkyGarden for Margarita Monday (19,000rp each), there were lots of the 'younger generation' on their way to Paddys and the Bounty.
Will keep you posted - off to breakfast this morning at La Lucciola, then off to do a bit of shopping.
