of tarring everyone with the same brush, just because a jeweller or service provider who is known on this forum has allegedly done the wrong thing.
There are plenty of dodgy "jewellers" (actually bangle onsellers) in Australia!!
I have always found the operation over at Denpasar (Hassanudin St) to be straight, as it caters to a very discerning local clientel, and has always done the right thing by us.
There is a small workshop on the ground floor, among the shops at the end nearest the Ramayana shopping centre.
I believe that there are others here also, if you have a look around.
I am not so sure about the sizing issue, but maybe if you could maintain your body temp a little lower for a while, and then find a ring size that suits you, this MAY work. (Maybe in pool, or at night instead of day etc)
Whatever you decide (and the Mayang thing is certainly an option), do not make a decision based only on other posters apparent experience with one particular person.
