Do NOT use a jeweller in Bali. Mayang in Kuta Square hasn't had any adverse reports but so many other Balinese jewellers have. Mayang can't do the work on the spot, as I understand.
I am still trying to get back a diamond stolen from me by a "highly reputed" jeweller in Bali (the one in Kuta Paradiso Hotel - Permata Bali aka Audrey Veronika).
Please, wait until you get home. I really wish that I had had my ring remodelled here in Perth - despite very many recommendations on this forum I was ripped off & many others have been, too. For anything of real or sentimental value, have the jewellery work done in your home city/town.
