Late last month I paid $A42.00 for the 30 day visa, based on the Airport Money Changer exchange rate of $A1 = Rp 7,000. They gave me change in Rupiah. Next day, the money changer at the corner of Poppies 2 Lane Jalan Legian gave me a better rate of Rp 7,200.
From a $A50 note, I received Rp 56,000 in change which covered the cost of a taxi to Central Kuta of Rp 50,000.
