you are either looking at an average of buy/sell rate, or looking at the sell rate. The rate on the street and at the banks is around 7600-7700 - that is the BUY rate for AUD - i.e. how many rupiah you get for one AUD.
The current SELL rate for AUD is around 8300 to 8500. Thats how many rupiah you will pay for one AUD.
I really wish people would stop posting like this, it sets false expectations for tourists coming to Bali who don't understand FX.
