Hey Eviestevie

you will be drawn into this amazing place and never want to leave!
How are you with the heat? Are you from Melbourne or Tassie?
Weather is very humid and can overwhelm especially when the sun is out.

Suggestion: get cabs as much as you can. They break up the monotony of heat and exhaustion. They are so cheap (Legian to Tuban 25,000 Rp = AU$3) and the Blue Bird Taxis have meters which start at 5,000 Rp and last that way for a fair bit and then go up in increments but they are air conned and easy for the newbie.

Early morning and evenings are cooler and less frenetic.

Remember to not take everything so seriously, the Balinese are good at making us chill out.

Remember 10,000 Rp might sound a lot but its only AU$1.50 or so, you'll get used to the currency.

Changing money, well you can check the forum for reputable changers or Filo's Bali Bible but ultimately count your money. Never had a problem, well at least that I'm aware of!

So many things I could say but leave it at that!

You're going to love it! First three days might overwhelm, as they did me (heat, beep beep, lady lady, darling you want to buy, etc) so different to what we're used to in Australia but it starts to melt your heart open....

L x
