I spoke to a shop-keeper yesterday who was very enthusiastic about Obama. The President Elect of the USA was schooled in Indonesia. This has a lot of sway. The Balinese are so friendly and accommodating they don't care where we're from anyway. I'm Australian and got the same worried reaction from my folks. More Balinese died in the Kuta bombings than anyone else, but since the cockfighting has been resumed, all is well. Om santi santi om
