I booked by email, with a few emails needed to confirm dates etc, and when I was ready to have exact booking I was asked to provide credit card number to guarantee booking. I did not wish to provide this by email, due to the risks of interception by those who may abuse it, so I faxed these details. The card was only blocked, not charged, until my departure, after I had seen the final account.
As far as rooms go, it may depend on your preferences. If you wish to be at the beach end, then NS block is the closest to the beach and breakfast restaurant, followed by A block. Y block overlooks the pool, but is facing west, so may get hot in the afternoom. I don't remember the names of the other blocks, but if you want a room in the new blocks, one also faces west and the other east, so you could ask for these as well I guess. Reaaly, I don't think it matters much. There are three florrs, ground floor (which I think may be called first floor, then two more floors. There are no lifts, but the stairs are easy.
