Sukawati means 'happy people'. It is very appropriately named. There are no tourists here 'cept me. Penginappan Puri Bunga (Jalan Teratai) has rooms by the pool for about 15 Aus. dollars per night. It is Shangri La for sure. I'm never going back to Oz. Ubud is up the road if you want to rub shoulders with rich Euro trash and there's enough wood carvings around here to fill the MCG. Great cheap food and a beach with black sand. You can see Nusa Penida about 20km off shore and eat satay all day.
