The noise begins, street sellers selling whistles and horns.
Tourists find it amusing to buy all the local kids several of these in the lead up:)
Most of the major roads are blocked off to traffic. So only venture out as far as you are prepared to walk home from.
All the locals who were born before record keeping of births, celebrate their birthday on NYE. So many many street parties every where.
The beach has a HUGE concert (mainly for the locals) It stretches from Kuta to Seminyak. Lots of eskies open and BBQ satays on the beach. Music is very loud, comprising of local bands and artists.:))
It generally always rains around midnite. Take the brolly.
The next day is a huge clean up of streets and beaches. Shope struggle to open (sleeping in) About lunch time life begins again.
There are parties everywhere. The island is like one huge party.
Cant wait.
