We've stayed in several other places over the years (Jayakarta, Kumala Pantai, Legian Paradiso) and of course since the Baleka is a budget priced hotel you are not going to get the luxuries you would expect when you pay 2 or 5 times as much - however if like us you just want a clean place to sleep in a good location you will be happy.
We found the breakfast basic but OK - and the staff friendly and happy to help. Our first standard room was a bit grim as it was too close to the bar so noisy at night but we asked for another room and got a much nicer (standard) room at the front of the property (closer to reception).
We had a quick peek into the style of room you describe and did consider booking that this time but it was cheaper to get 2 rooms for our family of 5 which gives the bonus of an extra bathroom :-)
