charity near Ubud is the Bumi Sehat Birthing Clinic if you google their name you will find their web site, click on 'wish list' and it shows what they most need. They are in Nyuh Kuning Village which is right next to Ubud you could walk it but if you are carrying book etc. I would get a driver.
I take over as many baby clothes as I can, but chose to donate money instead of taking over other supplies as I figure a lot of the things they need they can probably buy cheaper than me. Last trip my sister gave books and toddlers clothes as well and they were very happy to receive them.

We will be in Ubud New Years Eve but with two kids we plan on yelling at the monkeys from our pool at midnight, no big party for us! I have read that the Jazz Club is the place to be.
