We always spend some time in Ramayana, and have always enjoyed it (well as much as shopping in a department store gets as enjoyment goes)
I have always liked the option to have clothing alterations made on the spot by the tailor with sewing machine at the far end of the mens dept.
I like the fact that the assistants don't pester you, and getting served when you want to be has never been a problem.
The only annoying thing is the ludicrously loud sales patter that is broadcast over mega speakers at a hundred miles an hour for long periods of time.
Never had any problems with Muslim, Chinese, Bugis,Timorese, Balinese or anyone else, and always just felt like another shopper.
Never had the pleasure of visiting the "pet shop" though, but will have a look soon, although as this will be just a franchise, so would not neccessarily cause me not to use Ramayana again.
Just another Balinese experience....good for some and not so good for others.
