I've never stayed at either so I'm not going by the hotels, although I have read a few times that the Beach Resort is heaps better, and my sister stayed there and loved it.
I tend to research my hotels to death, make my choice, book it and leave the rest up to the Gods, then I go on holidays knowing I did my best and enjoy what ever I end up with.
I'm assuming you looked into your hotel of choice and chose it because you liked it, now you are booked into a hotel you know nothing about?
Change it if you can, a holiday is a big deal why put up with being 'a little disappointed' when you should be a big bit excited!!
