Hi everyone, thought i had better do a JBR as i just love reading them. Have only just felt well enough to start as have been really sick with the Flu and recovering from our return trip a day late and spending 11 hours at the airport then having to stay an extra nite and nearly losing my passport at the airport. Got a bit lost on the bike ride as well so we had a couple of dramma's this trip. Quite a few laughs to go with it.
FLIGHT TO BALI: Left on time from Perth on Indo Jet 1st November at 10.30am. Good flight and nice to be able to understand the crew as half of them are australian and the other half are indo. good mix.
Got to Bali on time and straight through all the check points and out to catch a taxi.
Beach Melati Apartments: The first week we staying at the Beach Melati apartments and this was lovely. Lovely clean pool. Good choice and would stay there again. Would be great for a group of ladies to stay for a shopping holiday. We had a 2 bedroom apartment and having a large fridge was good. Also having a living area separate to the bedrooms was good.
Shopping: Did the carefoure shopping centre. Bought lots of make up soaps ect. Martha Tillar and other stuff. Love this shopping centre just to look at all the differant foods available.
Mataharies (sorry about the spelling) Kuta, I just love all the mens clothes at this department store. Great quality shirts, socks, jocks ect. Got a couple of nice bags at 70% discount. Bought the Revlon nailpolish and foundation. My daughter wanted the mineral stuff which i got. My mum even bought some bras.
Mataharies (i get mixed up but think it is the one on sunsett road) Picked up 3 pairs of lovely shoes size 40 which are really nice.
Dressey ones but have a small heal and quite comfy. You have to try the doughnuts here they are lovely. There is also a breadtalk.
Centro: They have a body shop here so bought a few things from there. Love there Musk body spray. Also got another couple of bags. Just carnt help myself with the bags!! They make great presents for the girls back home.
Ketuts Garlic Lane: Got the boys shorts and tops a couple of sarongs and all fixed price. Great place to do shopping for the market stuff as you are paying a fair price and gives you a good indication of what to pay at the stalls everywhere. Good place to go first then you are aware what is a fair price to pay.
Geneva: Also love this place to find a few hidden treasures as this is also fixed price so you can check out the prices and get an idea on what to pay for table runners, wooden pieces ect.
Bought a lovely set of 3 baskets and a set of wooden trays.
Thats it for tonight as i am fading fast.
More to come, hope i havnt bored you.
