Commonwealth bank card

Years ago I had a commonwealth account, to send money to Bali. If I recall rightly, all I needed was the Cirrus logo.Recently I've heard about needing a 6 digit PIN. Is this correct?I seem to remember only having a 4 digit PIN on the old one? Any current info would be very appreciated!
