My wife and I would like to spend a week or two learning to surf in Eastern Indonesia, i.e. Bali, Lombok, or Sumbawa. We are students living in Jakarta and have a small budget but a lot of enthusiasm. We speak bahasa Indonesia but don't know anything about surf locations or how to avoid the December crowds. Advice appreciated! Specifically, I'm looking for:
+ Advice on avoiding the crowded waves in December
+ Names of specific homestays that teach surfing
