Sent emails to Jayakarta via three addresses for a quote on a deluxe room and after three days have not received a reply :( I called them twice today and I had a bad line connection and a delay each time; it was hard to communicate.
The man I spoke to seemed a bit impatient with the line delay, I double checked the email address to contact them on and I was given rsvo_bali@jayakartahotelsresorts.com I asked if "anyone check email today?" and he said "today okay, okay"... still no reply lol love it :)
Does anyone know what the deluxe room rate for May 2009 direct through Jayakarta is? Out of curiosity I called the dreaded Flight Centre and they quoted over $100 a night...has to be cheaper direct through Jayakarta right?
Anyway, after a few days of emails back and forth I made another call today this time to Kumala Pantai (no bad line connection or delay) and we now have a deluxe twin room reserved on the top floor of block A for 10 nights yay! I hoped for one of the new blocks but they are unable to accomodate us for the whole period we are there. I gave my credit card number (just the card number on the front and expiry date) and was asked to contact them one month before to confirm that we are still staying there.
Also reserved a Bale Gedong room at Green Field Bungalows, Ubud for 4 nights (can't get into Tegal Sari). They didn't ask for any credit card details, just for me to call one month before we get to Bali. All good
Just got to get airfares sorted out asap, I heard that taxes are going up in January and we are going (hopefully) Garuda Executive class - 30kg baggage allowance and at least a half comfy sleep back to Sydney.
I'm taking a friend who is a Bali first timer, I know she doesn't fully believe me when I say we can shop til we drop and how beautiful and relaxing it is there. Ha! Bring on May I say!
