We have never had to confirm with virgin on domestic flights,they notify you by email of any changes in flight times.
You can get on their web site and check your booking with your Resevation number.
You can also pre pick your seats 24 hours befor the flight and print out your bording pass from home.
I have also got the best seats in row "A" with the cheapest tickets by picking my seats the night before the flight! This may have changed since premiun economy seats were introduced at a higher charge but I did it this Feb.
