In the city I think the Cavenagh is probably as good as any or Darwin Central. Check wotif.com and the hotels direct. Book well ahead as alot of visitors come for R & R intrastate to Darwin Xmas New Year period.
If at the Cavenagh or Central Hotel walk tothe Centre of the Mall (Smith St) and have breaky at Montes on the Mall. Alot better breakfst and coffee than many cafes etc on Mitchell St.
