Suggest you get Loaded with XP. Some (uni network) neetworks are not ideal with Linux. You will be able to do everything you do on your home comp with Asus, in fact is one of my kids main comp at home. Me? I can't get my hands around the keyboard lol. Having said that, I take my full size notebook everywhere and most airlines don't include in carry on and it has my life on it lol
