From my experience, anything that has 2 sharp sides (like a kris) is not permitted these days. I have brought many knives (sharp on one side only) in recently & as long as they were single-edged, no probs.
Why don't you phone Customs & ask? Always better to get info from an expert. Get the name of the person you speak to, of course.
