Arrived in Bali on the 29th september around 3pm.Got threw airport within half hour due to VIP VOA and highly recomend using this system.Checked into Masa Inn in Poppies 1.Relaxed at the beach for a few days before we flew 1 and half hours to Flores on 3rd of October.We boarded a woodern boat and sailed to Rinca Island to see the komodo dragons.We spent a night on board and sailed to Komodo National Park to see the dragons once again.Dont beleive how big and beautiful they were.Even the scenery was like Jerasic park.The boat trip was so relaxing and peaceful.We then sailed to Angel Island and did some snorkeling(absolutly beautiful)we spent the night back at Flores in a small motel and walked to the local fish market in the morning befor we went to the mirror cave to see fosilized marine life and stalignights and then back to airport heading to Bali.Spent a few more days at the Masa Inn and relaxed on the beach.This motel was great and you cant beat Poppies 1 for cheap restaurants and shops.9th October we checked out and headed for Sanur for the fast boat to Nusa Lembongan.There we stayed at Tanis Villas in Mushroom Beach,the best beach on the island.Grabbed a motorbike and rode around the two islands,stopping at Shipwrecks,Playgrounds and Chinanigan Point to watch the great surf.Went to 2 schools to see the kids.Did a little snorkelling and stayed 3 nights.Fast boat back to Bali and checked into Balisani Hotel in Legian,another great motel but more relaxing then Kuta.Caught up with many of our Balinese friends befor dinner and a few relaxing drinks with our good friends at reunion bar.Hung an Aussie flag on the mamorial for the anniversary.Dressed in our Aussie boardies and Aussie bakinis.Even made the local news.Went to Dreamland beach the next day and was gobsmacked by the progress of the motel.So much for that beautiful beach being a secret any more.What a shame.But still one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.The next day we did most of our xmas shopping between Kuta and Seminyak,walking all the way with bags in our hands.Spent the next few days surfing,sunbacking,relaxing and hanging out with the life guards at Katuts Bar on Legian Beach.Watched the opening seremony of the Asian Games and Kuta Carnival.I released a baby turtle and cried with excitment as it was my sons birthday back in Oz and I named it after him.Was disappointed as we missed the paddle for peace.20th October 7 of us drove 3 hours to the ferry and headed for Java,stopping at a local fruit and meat markets for supplies.Being an Australian with blonde hair i had eyes all over me.Then we drove another 3 hours to G-land.Stayed at Jungle Camp for 2 nights and surfed Kongs.Cant beleive the awsome waves there.I took heaps of photos of the boys which they couldnt wait to get blown up and hang on our freinds surfshop BALI BOARD RIDERS wall back in Kuta.Went looking for tigers in the savanna but nothing as I think it is all a myth now.Bloody Japs.Was a great few days enjoyed by all.Couldnt beleive how many times the police pulled us up when they saw surfboards on the roof and westerners inside,money money money,bloody corupt place.When we headed back to Bali be drove to Mengangin Island for more snorkelling.How beautiful it was under the water,saw so many varities of fish and coral.Back to Balisani Hotel and spent my birthday at Reunion Bar and Bounty Ship with heaps of our friends on the 24th and had the best time ever.Went shopping once again with a hangover to Denpasar and finished off our xmas shopping.Next day we posted back to Oz 75kg befor taking our balinese friend Tommy and his family to the Safari Marine Park.It was great to see the animals in an open enviroment.Fun day.28th october we flew back to Oz and reality.We had the best time exploring Indonesia over 29 days.Been to Bali many times but never had the oppertunaty to ventur out and explore the islands.Recommend it to everyone.There is so much more to see then Bali Bali Bali.But I will always go back to the most wonderful country in the world.It is calling me already.Many thanks to all the wonderful people we met on our trip,they will never be forgotten.May God bless Bali in the next few months after the exicutions.We can only hope nothing will come out of it.
