We have had loads of parcels go astray. If there are no regular deliveries where you are sending it, make sure your freinds know when it is sent so they can go to the kantor pos and keep checking for arrival. My feeling in Lombok is, if we arent expecting it and checking for it... when it comes it doesnt reach us.
Also I know in Lombok the post office often give it to other people who do pop in and as them to bring it... despite me always saying my post should not be given to anyone except me or my husband!
I have never had any problem with post to Bali.
