Try & get a room at the villas & start from there.The beach bar that forumites frequented some time ago has found it's way down the road to destruction due to the incompetency of a totally ungrateful & idiotic owner.This person was supported by many expats,visitors,forumites but in the long term nothing was appreciated.Bills were not marked with a pen but a fork,(buy one pay for four)therefore 'no more Nyoman's Warung'for many.
Plenty of forumites can be found with whom to enjoy a chat & plenty of places to do it.Spread yourself around,find your own experiences,ask questions.When you are led to bloodyron all will fall into a great experience with a laugh.
