wow, where to start.
Its taken me this long to write it as i refuse to come to terms with being back home.....
Here goes.

Day 1
Get to the airport nice and early.
Leave on the 7.15am Garuda.
Plane leaves and arrive early
think it ended up being nearly an hour early, which was nice!
On arrival we had organised the VIPvoa,as i was travelling with a newbie to bali and thought they would enjoy it. Turns out it didn't benefit us all that much as our luggage was the last out and the people in line left before us!!
Through arrivals and have transfers to Discovery Kartika.
Check in, have a quick look in the room, looks lovely, then head off for some shopping.
Walk next door to Disovery mall. Buy sim card from Electronic shop on 3rd or 4th floor.
Head back to the hotel for a lovely swim and a few drinks in the pool, then decide to head off for dinner at the Stadium Cafe, a favourite of mine from last time. Have a lovely meal and head back to the hotel for a well deserved sleep!!

Day 2
Wake up nice and early, head down for breakfast.
Very large selection and beautiful scenery to watch while eating.
Go down for a lie by the pool and swim after breakfast, also frequenting the pool bar haha.
Have a look at the beach, and decide on a massage each and a manicure and pedicure. Wont tell you the price we paid as i hate bargaining because i cant say no. Ended up also getting hair braided while getting the hands and feet done, plus buying sarongs, tops, jewellery, watches and sunnies.
Back to get changed then off for some exploring.
Catch a taxi that drops us just near poppies 1 and buy some aloe vera as i was BADLY sunburnt already, and a few dvd's that in my later drunken state i left in the taxi, and never to be seen again. Wasn't worried so much about the DVD's, just wanted my aloe vera!
Have dinner at a mexican restarant on poppies 1. Cant remember the name, but its very popular.
Taxi back to the hotel, have a few drinks and fall into bed.

Day 3
We had arranged a full day tour today with a lovely driver, and he picked us up at 9am.
The first stop was the Batik place. Spent up big here and bought 2 x hand bags, a purse, dress and placemats, and 2 fans for 120,000. Not too bad.
Next was the silver, cant remember the name.
Bought some earrings, a broch, pendant, and a ring. 400,000.
We also stopped at a traditional Balinese house somewhere along the way, which was interesting to see!!
Then off to the volcano, which i didnt get to see last time.
A long drive, but so worth it. The view is just amazing!
Lots of people selling up there, as alot were young children i just could not say no to them and ended up buying 2 packs of 20 pencils with animals on top. Have no idea what i need them for, but he was too cute!
Then off to the coffee and tea plantation.
tried a few different ones and didnt stay very long.
then off to the rice terraces and the view is gorgeous. took lots of photos. More sellers there and i bought the same pencils as it was a little girl selling and again, i couldnt say no. Much to the amusement of our driver.
Last stop was the ubud markets where we bought way too much to mention.
Driver drops us off at the hotel and we say our goodbyes, drop our shopping off, then head to a minimart in desperate search of aloe vera. Finally find some!!
Then walk up the road to the pasta place next to waterbom park. Ilfiori or something like that. Nice food, especially as im vegeterian.
Buy MORE dvd's across the road from hotel then get some laundry done and head off to sleep.

Day 4
Wake up for early breakfast, then get ready for melbourne cup day!
Walk down to Stadium cafe, get a good table, go in the sweep, which we didnt win, drink WAY too much bintang and as we are leaving i fall down the stairs and bust my ankle and knee. Ouch!!! Act like its not hurting as didn't want to bother anyone, which would later be a big mistake.
Mum gets her hair done in a little salon while i have a nice long massage. On the way back to the hotel i spot the sling shot and decide to go on it tomorrow.
Get changed, use our icepack for my knee and ankle, then catch a taxi to Uncle norm's on Legian St.
never been here before, but only heard good things. it was fantastic, apart from the lights going out twice and being a bit freaked out!
Dinner cost just over $30, which included several cocktails. On that note, we didnt notice an alcohol shortage anywhere.
Back to the hotel.

Day 5
have a nice sleep in, then a quick breakfast and off to carrefour.
love love love it here!!
get a taxi back and struggle to fit all our shopping in!!
make a quick stop at the memorial and pay our respects and take a few pic's. Back to the hotel and swim all afternoon, then have dinner and cocktails by the pool.
Tomorrow we are off to nusa dua for 5 days, so spend the rest of the night packing.

that's it for now. will do the second half later.

sorry for the boredom!
