Hi, I am travelling with a Diabetic child also, we are leaving in 3 weeks. I have searched the Forum and asked my own questions which has helped me heaps.
I phoned Customs the other day and they put me through to the Security Company that check you when you enter and leave the Airport.They reasured me that they deal with this type of thing daily and do their best to make it as comfortable as possible for passengers. They said a letter from your Doc explaining sharps and medication needed for flight and also your Diabetes Card helps. He also recommended that I contact the Air Line Company and tell them, which I did and spent quite a while on the phone to them as they had to do a bit of paper work on my son.
My sons on a Pump and theres a bit more stuff they require, if you need any info on that I will leave my e-mail open.
