I would not be so intent on "buying" property whilst there.
Better to be more familiar with Bali & how things work before parting with your money.
Also check out Indonesia's property laws thoroughly before you do.
As a foreigner it is very difficult for you to buy property.
Leasing is often the option chosen.
As told to me a long time ago re investing etc in Bali/Indonesia...
Only outlay what you can afford & are prepared to lose if things go awry.
For some it has worked very well as they have looked into it over a long time & researched thoroughly.
I also was looking into leasing a small hotel a few years back.
For various reasons I chose not to.
Have not regretted that decision.
