Typical Bali, Ku De Ta is not...at least for the moment. Compared to most other places on the isle, it's uber svelte and, expensive. In any mainland Australian capital city you would likely find plenty of venues that are very similar - and you may or may not be impressed with what you see. But I think Ku De Ta is a slightly different proposition because it offers a rather unique package of experiences that cater to a very broad range of tastes. You can't really pigeon-hole Ku De Ta into a single proposition - fine dining in ambient surrounds contrasts with the relaxing environs of balmy nights, chillout music and a relaxing drink or three if food is not your need. Yep...lot's of so-called 'beautiful people' and even more of those who'd like to think they are: that's what makes people-watching such an intriguing experience! Ku De Ta is not a reason to visit Bali in itself: but there are plenty of reasons to visit Ku De Ta when you are on Bali. Ku De Ta is not the real Bali - nor does it try to be. And maybe that's part of it's appeal - it surprises people because it is so different to much of what Bali has to offer. My advice is to give the pace whirl and make up your own mind whether it's worth the visit - you just may find the contrast to your liking. Cheers - Keviin
