mozzie bands , available in the camping section at Kmart. They have citronella oil in them They look like coloured silicon bands so kids love to wear them , each band lasts a few days . I also like omezone patches available at camping stores again waterproof and last a few days , they have slow release vitamin B1 in them. My son never gets bitten when wearing these.
