Happens all the time... Its just the Power playing up. Not exactly sure what happens but have been told its to do with the moisture in the air and the pretty badly done power cables...
In march when i was in kuta it happened about 3 times one day, the power went out the first time for about half and hour and then the other times it just surged.
Made people jump though for sure!!
