Wellll yeah I'm going back next month with my mum.
I do tend to disappear in between trips, lol. Its just that reading constantly about Bali makes me depressed if I'm not going so I ignore everything to do with it. ;-)
The Patra is the best hotel isn't it. I'm glad you liked it. It was perfect for us, the boys loved the pool as it was just their depth.
The position didn't bother us either as we just went for a nice little walk to get to places or caught a taxi. I think the 'perfectness' of the actual hotel was more important than the small distance from 'stuff'.
Mum and I are staying at the Bali Garden Hotel this time, I've seen friends there before and the rooms are gross for the price you pay BUT the position is perfect for my mum so she doesn't have to walk too far to do a spot of shopping. I know there are taxi's but at least this way she can potter about when I have to go out for the day.
