We have been to bali many times and first took our daughter when she was 12 months in 1998 she is about to have her eighth trip in january
in that time her baby brother came along in 2002 and he is about to have his fourth trip.Not once have we felt unsafe and we went in both 03 and 06 less than six months after the bombings.When you have a young family we did not stay out late at night we did however eat at popular restaurants but were normally home before the retaurants became busy.Now our kids are 11 and 6 we still do the same as when they were toddlers,they simply go all day in the pool or shopping with Mum by early in the evening they are ready for bed and we are back at the hotel.I dont know if this helps but enjoy your trip Bali is a fantastic place for kids and us that need a rest.
