Hi, we always stay at the Jayakarta and we love it. We have never found the Deluxe rooms to be small. Have stayed in the 300 block and the 400 block each time with connecting rooms for our 2 teenagers. They were spacious enough for us with own bathroom, sitting area and balcony. We were there in October and our son and his girlfriend stayed in a Superior Pool View room in the 200 block near the reception area and the pools, there room was a little bit smaller than ours but still quite good. I don't think any of these rooms near the pool are interconnecting but the 300 block is close enought to the pools. The staff have always been very friendly and the rooms clean and it is good value for money being beachfront and also street access to all the shops and restaurants. Hope this helps
