yea no problem.. matahari in kuta is a good all purpose department store and a good way of getting some idea on local[ish] prices.. ramayana is in denpasar and a lot more local at first it seems to be a bit all over the place but have a good look arond for" designer bags ' and kids clothes... for surf shops do not go to the glitzy new seciality shops they are as expensive as australia.. look for the outof town places and of course sales. there are many many places to shop near your hotel.. remember to bargain .. its expected and the best places for gold are in central denpasar.. but be very care full as tourists you will be hard pushed to get a good price but maybe your driver can help you with negotiations.. and if you go there.. use extra care with your belongings.. there are many many people and its hot and hyper... but worth the experience.. if you need more info i'm happy to oblige.
