try both? Le Meridien is beautiful, in terms of value for money much better than yatt BUT its a fair way from anywhere (about 30 to 40 mins from Kuta) so you have to eat in the hotel. Beautiful tho and gorgeous views. Bali Hyatt is about same time difference to Kuta, but there are lots more restaurants etc around. If I was doing it I'd have a few days serious r & r at Le Merid then down to Sanur. Take your own goodies!
